Day 1

An adventurous arrival

Depart the UK and fly to Kiruna, over 150 miles north of the Arctic Circle, in the wilds of Swedish Lapland. Your adventure will begin immediately on arrival as you're greeted by your guide, along with an enthusiastic team of huskies eager to take you on a thrilling sled ride to the ICEHOTEL. After an exciting journey through snowy forests and frozen lakes, check-in at the ICEHOTEL and collect your premium protective outer thermal clothing. This evening, after enjoying a private guided tour of the ICEHOTEL and ICEBAR and a traditional warming dinner from the ICE menu, it’s time to settle into one of just three Deluxe Suites, each individually themed and hand carved by artists commissioned from around the world. Deluxe Suites also feature a private warm en-suite bathroom with shower. Keep yourself cosy by wrapping up between reindeer hides and a thermal sleeping bag as you fall asleep, cradled by a comfortable bed, hand-made with ice from the Torne river.

Day 2

Ice sculpting & aurora safari on snowmobile

After a memorable night in the ICEHOTEL, warm up with a morning sauna before enjoying a hearty breakfast. This afternoon you'll have the opportunity to test your creative skills by carving your own sculptures on a private ice sculpting class. With the help of your knowledgable instructor, you'll learn how to use specialist tools and acquire the basics of ice sculpting. The ice used will be naturally sourced from the local Torne river. Later this evening your attention will switch to the polar night skies. Accompanied by your private guide, you'll set out on a Northern Lights safari by snowmobile. Driving out into the wilderness away from light pollution, your main focus will be to hunt for the aurora. You'll make frequent short stops, where your guide will give you an opportunity to take pictures and teach more about the Northern Lights. Along the way, you'll stop in a warm wilderness cabin where you'll be cooked and served a two-course dinner. The experience continues on the way back, when hopefully the northern lights have danced for you before your return to the ICEHOTEL.

Day 3

Private sauna ritual and 12-course dinner

After breakfast this morning, you will have some free time to book an additional excursion of your choice. Speak to our ICEHOTEL specialists to discuss the options available. At a time of your choosing, we have included a private sauna ritual. Heading to the nearby Jukkasjärvi Culture Sauna, you will receive a towel and bathrobe and begin a ten step ritual, including everything from a traditional sauna to washing with tar soap and a plunge into the ice-cold Torne River. Then it's the turn of the heated outdoor bathtubs as you warm back up. The contrast between the hot and cold is said to have wholesome effects and is part of a long-running tradition in this region of Sweden. After drying off, head back to the ICEHOTEL where this evening we have included a special Chef's Table dinner experience and wine package at The Veranda restaurant - the ICEHOTEL's most exclusive food experience. After welcome drinks and an opportunity to talk to other guests, a duo of chefs cook and serve a 12-course menu in 8 servings with accompanying wine package in front of you. The menu is inspired by the 8 Sami seasons and include all locally sourced ingredients. The chef's will tell you stories about the culinary culture and history of the region as you enjoy dinner accompanied by wine pairings.
