Having written his university dissertation on Vietnam, it’s fair to say Charlie has always had a passion for the world and its history. His adventures began with yearly trips to Europe with family and friends, where he's enjoyed perusing the hidden delights of Rome, lazy days on Barcelona’s beaches and port tasting in the Douro Valley. It extends beyond Europe, though – his world highlights including trekking with elephants in the north of Thailand, motorbiking through Vietnam and embarking on the most epic of train journeys across China. You could say his heart belongs to Europe, though, as he still cites the undiscovered gems of Spain and winding valleys of Portugal as his world favourites. And, since joining The Luxury Holiday Company, Charlie has travelled out to Tromsø in Norway – his first taste of life above the Arctic Circle.
