Fly to Lulea and begin your holiday with a stay in the branch-hung pods of the Treehotel. You'll arrive by an included transfer, or, for extra style, opt to take a helicopter. Strike out into the wild on husky or horse-drawn sled rides, try trekking or snowshoeing through the forest, get close to moose and meet the traditional Sami reindeer herders. After a day exploring and enjoying exciting activities, spoil yourself with a real Swedish massage, tailored spa treatments or a session in the tree sauna before an evening of local delicacies dished up during a five-course tasting experience, and another chance to hunt the aurora.

Today, following breakfast at the Brittas Guesthouse, an included private transfer will see you swap to the intimacy of the luxurious Logger’s Lodge – a one-time wilderness cabin-cum-luxuriously cosy retreat just for two, found in the heart of Swedish Lapland. Here, you'll immerse yourself in the wilderness in an authentic way. Settle in to your timber-clad room, cosy up around the huge central fireplace and dip into the bar for a glass of champagne.

Then as dusk falls, feast on exceptional local dishes, from Sweden’s best caviar to Arctic char caught in the rivers nearby and melt-in-the-mouth moose steaks. See out the evening gazing across the tundra or up at the star-strewn skyscape from the Lodge’s private outdoor hot tub.

Spend the day exploring the unspoiled and wild wintery landscape, where nature is writ large.

Choose one of the included excursions per day, including Cross-country Skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobile adventure or practice your photography skills and experiment with a Swedish baking class. There is also ample opportunity to add further adventures whether that be a husky safari, horseback riding or a visit to a Sami reindeer herder.

Back at the lodge, make the snowy dash to the wood-fired sauna. After unwinding over another superb dinner consider making the short hike from your steps to a clearing in the pine forest that makes for a wonderful viewing point for the playful, surreal Northern Lights.

After a final indulgent breakfast, you might want some further time to explore before an included transfer whisks you to the airport and your flight home.
