Sail along Norway's spectacular coastline on this northbound summer voyage from Bergen to Kirkenes – one of the world's most memorable sea journeys. After a night in Bergen, you'll board a modern, eco-friendly Havila ship and sail between majestic fjords, dramatic mountain landscapes and remote coastal communities, crossing the Arctic Circle en route to the country's far north. Highlights include the UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord or Hjørundfjord, the striking beauty of the Lofoten Islands, Tromsø and the iconic North Cape, with a range of optional experiences available throughout, from fjord cruises and guided walks to boat safaris and Sámi cultural experiences. Complemented by exceptional, full-board Norwegian cuisine and ever-changing coastal scenery, this is a wonderfully immersive way to discover the natural and cultural highlights of Norway.
Your journey begins in Bergen, Norway's historic gateway to the fjords. On arrival, make your way to your elegant hotel, housed in a beautifully restored 19th-century bank building in the heart of the city. The remainder of the day is yours to explore Bergen's many charms, from the colourful timber buildings of the UNESCO-listed Bryggen waterfront to its bustling fish market, atmospheric alleyways and excellent dining scene. Included during your stay is a return trip on the Fløibanen funicular, which climbs above the city for magnificent views across Bergen and the surrounding mountains and waterways. This evening, perhaps dine at nearby Frescohallen, acclaimed for its striking interior adorned with frescoes by Norwegian artist Alex Revold and its contemporary take on local and international cuisine.
Enjoy a relaxed morning and take the opportunity to explore more of Bergen before your voyage begins. Later, board your Havila ship and settle into your stylish sea-view cabin ahead of departure. Spend some time familiarising yourself with the vessel's lounges and public spaces before your first dinner at Havrand restaurant. Menus throughout the voyage celebrate seasonal Norwegian produce sourced from destinations along the route. Guests looking for an elevated dining experience may also choose to reserve a table at Hildring, the ship's intimate fine-dining restaurant. Suite upgrades are available and include additional benefits such as enhanced dining inclusions and either a private balcony or floor-to-ceiling windows.

Between April and August, the voyage continues into the UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord, where towering mountains and cascading waterfalls create one of Norway's most iconic landscapes. Optional excursions include a journey through Geiranger and over the dramatic Trollstigen mountain road, followed by a ride on the Romsdal Gondola. Departures between September and October instead sail into the spectacular Hjørundfjord, which winds between the imposing peaks of the Sunnmøre Alps. "Sailing from Bergen to Kirkenes, you'll witness some of Norway's most spectacular scenery unfolding right outside your window. What I particularly love about Havila is the balance between life onboard and the opportunity to explore ashore, whether that's joining a guided excursion, discovering a charming coastal town or simply soaking up the ever-changing views from the ship. The food is excellent too, showcasing local ingredients from the regions you're travelling through, making the journey every bit as memorable as the destinations themselves."
