In more detail

The focal point of the 4,000-acre estate is, of course, the 10th-century castle. Immaculately restored using traditional construction techniques, it’s a storybook of stone walls and exposed wooden beams, found across both the castle suites and contemporary wing. Throughout, you can expect spectacular views of its privileged setting.

Of course, the dining is here is excellent. Be sure to make full use of the balmy evenings to take your meals al fresco, perhaps tucking into an aperitivo as the sun dips below the horizon. You’ll also have a choice of dining options, with the signature Tosca restaurant offering fine-dining tasting menus of local organic produce, while the more informal Cip’s Club serves up Venetian classics. Think tender carpaccio and tagliolini verdi. It’s all paired with some of the region’s finest wines and brought to life on cooking lessons

The indulgence doesn’t stop with the dining, however. Although the spa is excellent, host to steam rooms and a full menu of treatments, the pool terrace is perfect for unwinding, offering gorgeous views of the surrounding countryside. Then, alongside the state-of-the-art gym, you’ll want to get active and explore. Taste your way through the local wineries, go truffle hunting and discover the local wildlife with the resident gamekeeper. Indeed, to keep active, there’s everything from hiking and biking to watercolour lessons and tours of the local history.
