In more detail

Suites at The Retreat at Blue Lagoon blend sleek, minimalist Nordic design with materials inspired by Icelandic nature. Junior Suites come with views of the surrounding moss-covered lava fields or the milky-blue waters of the lagoon, and each one features a private terrace, a complimentary mini bar, a coffee machine and a bathroom stocked with Blue Lagoon skin products and plush bath robes and slippers. Moss Suites, meanwhile, are even more spacious and come with a plush sitting area with floor-to-ceiling windows offering interrupted views of volcanic landscapes, while Lagoon Suites come with the ultimate privilege of your own private lagoon.

Included in your stay is unlimited access to the Retreat Lagoon (a separate area exclusively for Retreat guests), the Retreat Spa (where you can enjoy the likes of a steam cave, lava spring showers and rejuvenating wellness treatments) and, of course, the main Blue Lagoon itself. You can also enjoy a complimentary Blue Lagoon Ritual, relaxing in a sauna before nourishing your skin with silica, algae and minerals.

Complementing the world-class wellness amenities are a trio of restaurants offering superb dining experiences, including Michelin-starred Moss, whose innovative tasting menu showcases seasonal Icelandic cuisine at its very best. For a more casual alternative, Lava Restaurant offers a fabulous à la carte menu within an 800-year-old lava cliff on the west bank of the Blue Lagoon, while the Spa Restaurant serves up a selection of healthy, lighter dishes. A bountiful gourmet breakfast is included each morning as part of your stay, featuring a delicious spread of continental and cooked options.

While staying at The Retreat at Blue Lagoon, you may also wish to partake in guided yoga and meditation sessions, floating therapy or in-water massages – available to book for a supplement.
