The lodge itself is housed within the former harbour control building at the foot of the lighthouse, thoughtfully reimagined as an intimate coastal retreat. With just eight suites, the atmosphere is personal and unhurried. Large windows frame uninterrupted views of the Atlantic, while private decks provide the ideal setting to watch seals basking on the shoreline or flamingos gathering across the lagoon. Thoughtful touches such as in-room binoculars ensure that the landscape remains the star of the show.
Days can be as active or relaxed as you wish. Marine excursions reveal the rich waters of Walvis Bay, while kayaking alongside thousands of playful Cape fur seals offers a memorable experience. Further afield, guided excursions to Sandwich Harbour showcase one of Namibia's most iconic sights, where immense dunes tumble directly into the ocean. Scenic flights, birdwatching excursions and visits to nearby Swakopmund can also be arranged. Back at the lodge, dining celebrates its coastal setting. Freshly shucked Walvis Bay oysters, locally caught seafood and seasonal ingredients feature prominently on the menu. For many guests, however, the standout experience is a traditional beach braai on the sands of the Skeleton Coast, where sundowners, excellent food and uninterrupted views combine to create an unforgettable evening.
