This curated itinerary will see you stay in the only five-star accommodation in northern Tenerife. Ringed by gardens first developed by King Carlos III in 1788, it’s hosted royalty and heads of state, undoubtedly drawn by its world-class spa, nearby beach and fine-dining restaurants. And, you’ll treated to a range of gourmet dining, including a stargazing dinner accompanied by an expert astronomer. Indeed, alongside private transfers, you’ll also enjoy a range of private touring throughout, from wine tastings to trips to national-park volcanoes and UNESCO-listed old towns. There’s also plenty of time to relax in the sun and explore at your own pace.
You’ll begin your trip in style, a chauffeur picking you up at your home and seeing you to the airport, where you’ll enjoy complimentary lounge access before your flight. Then, once on Tenerife, you’ll again be met by a private driver for the scenic journey to your luxury hotel, mapping the pretty coastline. As the very first five-star accommodation in the Canary Islands, it enjoys a rich history of romantic seclusion.
Indeed, although the beaches and picturesque old town of Puerto de la Cruz are just a complimentary shuttle away, you’ll stay in a marble-accented room complete with private-balcony views of the 25,000 square metres of subtropical gardens.
With a first day at leisure, you’ll have some time to settle in. There’s a full range of complimentary facilities on offer, from billiards and table tennis to a state-of-the-art gym, driving range and putting green. Otherwise, sun yourself by the pool or book onto a treatment in the superb spa. It’s consistently recognised as one of the best in Europe.
You’ll also have a full choice of restaurants, enjoying casual bites under the palm trees, some of the islands’ finest Italian fine dining and the pan-Asian delights of a restaurant opened by the Queen of Thailand herself. Tonight, we’ve also included dinner at La Parrilla, whose steaks and just-caught seafood showcase the best in Canarian cuisine.

Today, you’ll enjoy the first of your included private tours. It all begins UNESCO-listed La Laguna; Considered to be the cultural capital of the Canary Islands, its historic centre is home to centuries-old mansions, colonial churches and pastel-hued cafés.
Your touring then finishes at the excellent Bodegas Monje Winery. Dating back to the 18th century, you’ll taste your way through the finest in Canarian wines, guided by the resident sommelier.

Spoil yourself: For dinner, we recommend El Calderito – it's won several "Best Tapas of the Year" awards
While you might want to relax on the beach or by the pool, we recommend taking some time to explore your verdant surroundings. Hiking and horse-riding trails weave through laurisilva forests, while world-class golf courses and scuba-dive sites add further intrigue.
However, if you’re after glitz and glam, look no further than Puerto de la Cruz’s casino and the tax-perk luxury boutiques.
Spoil yourself: Consider dinner at Bodeguita Titos, a historic Canarian mansion that pairs rustic classics with fine wines
Today, you'll experience the rural charm of Tenerife in the company of an expert private guide. You'll be driven up onto the volcanic slopes of Mt. Teide, watching as the lush greenery gives way to lunar lava plains. Along the way, you'll pause for both coffee at a parador lodge and a series of scenic viewpoints, taking in vistas over the island and up to that iconic volcanic peak.
It all culminates in the verdant Masca Valley, where you'll be treated to a traditional lunch before being brought back to base.
Breakfast & Lunch included
As with each morning, you’ll begin with a superb breakfast, featuring the likes of fresh fruits, cold cuts and cooked-to-order eggs. The cake is a further highlight. You then might want to spend the day relaxing by the pool and with the nearby beach, or make use of your hotel’s preferential rates on the local golf courses.
There’s even the opportunity to try paragliding, while the nearby animal park is a firm favourite. At day’s end, be sure to cap it all off with a cocktail, best taken overlooking the hotel’s immaculate gardens.
After a morning at leisure, you’ll be brought out for true trip highlight. Your private touring today will see you into the UNESCO-listed Las Cañadas National Park, where Mt. Teide towers some 3,700 metres high. And, you’ll take in its dramatic sunset from the twisted rock formations of Roques de Garcia, stopping to capture it all with a photo. You’ll then be treated to a dinner and stargazing session guided by a professional astronomer.
Thanks to Tenerife’s clear, dark skies, high altitude and low light pollution, it’s one of the world’s best destinations for astronomy; expect to spot everything from twinkling planets to giant constellations.
Breakfast & Dinner included
After a final indulgent breakfast, a private driver will see you to the airport for your flight home. Again, you’ll be met on arrival by a private chauffeur and driven back home.
"This itinerary was designed to highlight the lesser-visited Northern Tenerife region. It encompasses everything from the lunar landscapes of the Teide National Park and the rich verdure of the Masca Valley to small-village gems and personally selected restaurant recommendations. Think small properties famed for the quality of their locally sourced ingredients. No trip to Tenerife would be without a private wine tasting experience with a sommelier, but your week is topped off with an evening visit back to Teide to enjoy a stargazing dinner, accompanied by an astronomer describing the views of the pure night sky."
