Day 2

Husky sledding & Northern Lights snowmobile hunt

Ready yourself for an action-packed day ahead with a hearty breakfast. You’ll then head to a local husky farm, spending some time getting to know these lovable furry creatures before you try your hand at ‘mushing’ (the art of driving a husky sled) as you glide through the enchanting, snow-cloaked wilderness. Later on, after some time to rest and recharge back at base, you’ll swap the sled for a snowmobile, cruising out along woodland trails in exhilarating fashion with your guide leading the way as you head to an optimal viewing spot for the Northern Lights. Enjoy some Lappish snacks and hot drinks as you grill sausages over a roaring fire while waiting for the Northern Lights to make an appearance. With a little luck, you'll get to see this majestic phenomenon illuminating the night sky.

An easily accessible route will bring you to the viewpoint at the top of Syväsenvaara Hill, from which you’ll be met by wonderful panoramas overlooking Rovaniemi and the surrounding nature. There’s also an ice skating track on-site which you’re welcome to use free of charge.
