All three room types offer such delights as floor-to-ceiling glass doors, marble bathrooms with enormous soaking tubs, walk-in rainforest showers and Molton Brown bath amenities, while the ‘Rooms on the Bluff’, perched on a rocky promontory, are all open-plan modernities, coastal touches and sweeping ocean vistas. Alternatively, Beach Front Rooms are just steps from the water or, for utter luxury, the Hulford Collection suites offer the likes of private plunge pools, colonial touches and sprawling verandas with private decks.
Indulge in freshly-made bento boxes at lunchtime – served to your beach cabana – at The Sea Grape before sampling Italian and Antiguan fusion come dinner – think tuna carpaccio and pan-seared wahoo filet. The weekly beach barbecue, accompanied by a local steel drum band, is a must, too. Breakfast is all freshly-made pastries, smoothies and banana pancakes whipped up by the resort's renowned pastry chef at Tamarind restaurant, while dinners consist of crisp salads and locally-caught fish. Perhaps finish the night off with a dance to the live band on the terrace or enjoy a private wine tour in the sprawling cellar, the 4,000 sommelier-picked wines sure to delight every oenophile.
Days on the beach or by the pool are perfectly complemented by the likes of Shiatsu massages and aromatherapy wraps at the 5,000-square-foot spa, with four treatments rooms, a spa garden and even a luxurious cliffside soaking tub – best enjoyed with a glass of champagne or two. Active guests will be more than happy, with over a dozen activities included in the room rate, the likes of watersports, PADI diving courses, Hobie Cat rides and kayaking on offer, as well as all manner of expert lessons like gardening, yoga, pilates, Caribbean cooking and wine tasting.
Curtain Bluff will re-open on 23rd October 2021
