Tom's fascination with travel began early, sparked by a childhood trip to Finnish Lapland. Since then, a desire to experience the world's diverse cultures, landscapes and histories has taken him to more than 70 countries across six continents, with extended periods living in Peru, Brazil and China further enriching his perspective. His travels have been defined by curiosity and adventure. From walking the Camino de Santiago and traversing the Andes to exploring the ancient landscapes of Oman and Iraq, tracking wildlife in Tanzania and discovering the traditions of Japan, Tom has sought out experiences that reveal the character and culture of a destination. His passion for history has also inspired visits to all Seven Wonders of the New World, alongside many lesser-known corners of the globe. Despite his extensive travels, Scandinavia remains one of his favourite regions. Whether watching orcas along Norway's dramatic coastline, travelling through Finnish Lapland by husky sled or exploring the elegant cities of Copenhagen and Stockholm, he is continually drawn to the region's blend of natural beauty, design and adventure.
