Embark on luxury cruise to remember, sailing between some of Europe's most beautiful and ancient cities on the Seven Seas Explorer. Setting sail from Venice, you'll begin with the turquoise bays and medieval old towns of Croatia and Montenegro before island hopping between Corfu, Sparta and Santorini, taking in traditional white-washed villages, secluded beaches and ancient historical sites. You'll then sail to the temples of Ephesus on the edge of Turkey's Aegean Sea, before ending amid Athen's iconic ruins. Unlimited shore excursions see you embark on the likes of expert tours, cooking classes and wine tasting at renowned vineyards, while back on board, five gourmet restaurants offer all-inclusive indulgences alongside an infinity pool, luxe spa and casino.

Day 1

Fly to Venice

Enjoy included UK airport transfers and lounge access before your flight to Venice, where an included transfer will see you to the port to board Seven Seas Explorer. Settle in to your spacious, butler-served suite with its own private balcony, before myriad elegant bars await tonight for a pre-dinner aperitif. It's then time for the first of your included, three-course, dinners – paired with only the finest wines, of course. Perhaps settle in among the Art Deco chic of Chartreuse for the likes of veal rack of loin or the luxurious leather and dark wood atmosphere of Prime 7 for expertly-prepared filet mignon or côte de boeuf.

Day 2

UNESCO gems & national parks in Split

Enjoy an al fresco breakfast on the deck for the likes of made-to-order omelettes and fluffy Belgian waffles before you anchor in to Split, home to gems like the imposing Diocletian's Palace and enchanting Old Town that contrast against Riva Promenade's palm-lined boulevard and buzzing bar scene. It’s all best explored with a cruise along the river to tour the centuries-old Split Riviera, pausing at the UNESCO-listed Old Town, Cathedral of Saint Domnius and Temple of Jupiter. We’d highly recommend a Regent Choice small group tour, where no more than 16 guests enjoy a more intimate experience with a knowledgeable guide. Alternatively, the ancient ruins of Salona and its local villages await, or the famed Krka National Park's bright tiered waterfalls. Remember, all shore excursions can be easily organised from the ship, either before or during your cruise.

Day 3

Medieval treasures in Kotor

Anchor in to Montenegro and the coastal beauty of Kotor today, home to grand Venetian mansions and pretty stone churches hidden among the cobbled streets. It's all best discovered with a walking tour to see Kotor’s walled Old Town and the 12th-century Cathedral of Saint Tryphon, or you could even enjoy a cooking class in a historic family estate or go mussel tasting by speed boat. Then, tonight, perhaps sample La Veranda back on board for the likes of spice-crusted tuna steak with a perfectly paired Tuscan wine. Finish the night at the Constellation Theatre for everything from full-scale musical revues to classical soloists, or get a taste of Monte Carlo at the casino.

Explore the lush island of Corfu today, with highlights including tours of the region's many palaces and relaxing on the secluded beaches. You could even explore on a thrilling 4x4 adventure that winds through ancient villages and ends among the pine trees and olive groves of Mount Pantokrator. Be sure to make time to explore the ship’s many offerings, too, like cooking classes at the Culinary Arts Kitchen to create your own luxury brunch or fresh seafood dish. Then, there's everything from a putting green to an infinity-edge pool to enjoy, as well as a gorgeous spa for a myriad of indulgent treatments.

Visit the famed Theatre, which still houses the ruins of the Temple of Athena, the Gates of Castorides and the Archaeological Museum of Gythion before an al fresco seafood lunch in a traditional ouzerie. We’d highly recommend making time for an optional Gourmet Explorer Tour at any of the ports that'll see you shop at local markets in the company of a knowledgeable local expert, tour the kitchens of renowned chefs and dine at gourmet, award-winning restaurants.

There's also the chance to visit the site that's thought to be the last home of the Virgin Mary, the Ephesus Archaeological Museum and the ancient sites of Priene, Miletus and Didyma's theatre, Roman baths and stadium.
