All around the hotel you’ll find local artworks and bespoke furnishings that firmly place it in Queenstown, famous for being New Zealand’s adventure city. With imposing mountains and glaciers, lush plains and fast-flowing rivers, it’s the perfect playground for alpine pursuits and for adrenaline junkies, with something for everyone in every season. For more sedate enjoyment, Queenstown is also fantastic for the leisurely pursuits of fishing and golfing, and the region is also host to over 75 wineries. For fabulous eating and drinking there is the award-winning restaurant Lombardi, comprised of an elegantly designed Dining Room, Bar and Library, each affording magnificent views of the lake and mountains beyond, and serving a range of local, seasonal dishes as well as wood-fired pizzas and baked pasta, all complimented by fine wines from the Central Otago region. The hotel has a fine range of onsite leisure facilities, including a state-of-the-art gym and sauna, but a moment or two spent in the terraced garden, in traditional cedar hot tubs looking out over the imposing Cecil and Walter peaks is the perfect way to conclude a day in the mountains.
