In more detail

The splendid Oberoi Rajvilas lies in 32 landscaped acres just 8km from the pink city of Jaipur. The hotel is built in the style of a fort, with Mughal arches, gold leaf frescoes and domed ceilings hosting glittering crystal chandeliers – all typifying traditional Rajasthani charm and Oberoi five star luxury. The tastefully appointed Premier Rooms are arranged in small clusters that are interspersed with courtyards housing reflection pools and fountains, all criss-crossed by peaceful footpaths. All of the rooms have romantic four poster beds and marble sunken baths as well as walk-in closets and the convenience of 24-hour butler service. The villas are more extravagant and feature sumptuous interiors plus your own private pool in a secluded walled garden and at Oberoi Rajvilas you also have the opportunity of staying in a Luxury or Royal Tent, reminiscent of the stately convoys that traversed the Rajasthani desert during the time of the British Raj. These air-conditioned, canopied accommodations are set within a traditional mud wall enclosure with private gardens and patios, for an authentic experience with more than a hint of luxury.

In all areas of the hotel you will experience exceptional service and the dining is no exception with two excellent restaurants offering first-rate Indian food and tried-and-tested Western classics while the Rajwada Library serves fine wines, cocktails and liquors. Local musicians perform in the courtyards while you dine and activities at the hotel include tennis, croquet and a fitness centre, not to mention a superb spa housed in an 18th century haveli and an amazing swimming pool with spouting elephant water fountains.
