Luxury rail journeys across Italy & Europe

Set to launch in 2024, The Orient Express La Dolce Vita is set to bring an alternative brand of ultra-luxury to Europe’s most famous rail routes. Owned and run by the original Orient Express brand, six trains will operate across the Continent, taking in the likes of Rome, Paris, Split and Istanbul – the latter the final destination of the original Orient Express made famous by Agatha Christie’s Poirot. Plus, there'll be a series of Italy-only itineraries exploring 14 regions across the country, from Florence and Milan to Sicily, Campagia, Tuscany and Puglia.

A luxury rail experience inspired by creative Italy

This iteration of the Orient Express, however, will steer away from the 1920s Art Deco glamour of its famous namesake, instead taking design inspiration from the contemporary creativity of 1960s and 1970s Italy. Indeed, the across the train’s 12 Deluxe Cabins, 18 Suites, and signature Honour Suite, as well as a series of restaurants, lounges and bar cars, guests can expect a combination of traditional and modern stylings represented in bold colours and patterns paired with world-class craftsmanship and design.

Exceptional dining and service, as standard

Of course, complementing the train’s accommodations will be dining of the very highest quality, with ‘made-in-Italy’ menus created in collaboration with some of Europe’s finest chefs and paired with only the best sommelier-picked Italian wines. And, from the new Executive Lounge at Rome’s Termini Station to every aspect of life on board, guests will be treated to exceptional levels of personalised service throughout.
