Heading past herds of flamingos and soaring condors, you'll first take in the views from a connected series of walkways before joining an included boat trip to watch as giant bergs calve off its face to fall with an almighty crash into Lago Argentino.

There’s also the option of hiking the glacier itself. In low season (May-September) you'll stay at the wonderful Esplendor, a contemporary gem just moments from the famous glacier. About the itinerary

"Argentina is not just about truly wonderful food, excellent wines and exhilarating tango moves. It also offers some of the most breathtaking natural wonders – from the mighty Iguazu Falls to one of the only advancing glaciers in the world, Perito Moreno – which I’ve included as must-sees in this itinerary. I can't recommend enough a stay at a traditional estancia to experience the country’s gaucho culture. "
