Start your holiday in stye with included airport lounge access before your flight to Verona. On arrival, you'll be met for a private transfer to your luxury boutique hotel, located right in the heart of the historic city centre, just a short stroll from Porta Nuova, Piazza Bra and the Arena. Exploring Verona and a night at the Opera

After an included breakfast, take a walking tour of the city. Explore the captivating streets under the expert care of local guides who'll provide insightful commentary on the architecture and world-renowned sites of this fascinating city. Then, in the evening, make your way to the world-famous open-air Arena di Verona to watch a magical performance of Bizet's Carmen. Poltronissima Gold tickets are included in your package. The next day is free for you to explore the city at your own pace.

Day 5

The Roman wonders of Split

Enjoy the morning views from the deck as you arrive at port, where a day of adventure and history awaits in the ancient city of Split, famed for the Roman emperor Diocletian’s 4th-century palace complex. Join an included shore excursion which explores the complex in more detail and also delves into the history of the Old Town – a UNESCO World Heritage site – with a guided walking tour.

For those who have visited Split before, there are many other shore excursions to choose from. Game of Thrones fans will be inspired by the sites around Klis, an age-old village that is home to a fortress featured in the show. Alternatively, discover ancient Ottoman Empires of the 16th and 17th centuries that influenced the area and the historic town of Sinj.

Ephesus – a wonder of the ancient world

Once one of the largest cities in all of the Roman Empire, Ephesus is now home to ancient ruins and a rich history. Take time to explore one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World – the Temple of Artemis. Browse the artefacts of the Ephesus Museum and walk amongst the ruins of the Odeon theatre, signs of a bygone past.
